Omarere Estate is a producer of private member release Pinot Noir in Martinborough, New Zealand.
ABOUT
Omarere Estate Vineyard is nestled by the banks of the Huangarua River less than one and a half kilometres as the Tui flies from the centre of the Wairarapa township of Martinborough. This is known as the “Golden Mile” of Martinborough and is renowned for it’s quality soil types, and its outstanding wines, especially its Pinot Noir.
Our nearest neighbour, over the back fence, is Margrain Vineyard. Omarere shares the same deep alluvial gravel terroir as Ata Rangi and has a partnership with Nga Waka to produce some of Martinborough’s finest Chardonnay. A grouping of Martinborough’s top viticulturists and an association with world class winemaker Lance Redgewell of Cambridge Road complete the production team for Omarere’s bespoke and exclusive Martinborough members only wines.
Omarere Estate is one of the oldest estates in Martinborough with the homestead originally comprising part of the original Farm of the town’s founding Martin family. It boasts some of the most diverse and established gardens in the region lovingly curated by the finest team of horticulturists. The Estate is not open to the public but private viewings are able to be arranged for Omarere Estate exclusive members.
